It started raining in Bali, now what? The first few drops already warn you that you probably won’t have a sunny beach day, a visit to the rice fields, or even spend the day sunbathing by the hotel pool. Then, you might feel a little anxious – “is my vacation ruined?”. Don’t worry, I am here to help you by answering the question – what to do in Bali on a rainy day?

  1. Have a pampering session in a spa. Nothing better than a spa to forget about our worries. Pamper yourself with a few minutes or several hours in a spa, and you can choose to have a Balinese massage, followed by the Balinese Boreh, and finish with a dream flower bath with an artistic design.
  2. Enjoy the restaurants and cafés. Coffees, smoothie bowls, and ice cream – discover Bali’s many cafes that can also become your refuge when it’s raining on the island.
  3. Cooking Class in Ubud. If you enjoy Balinese cuisine, you can learn how to prepare some dishes in a cooking class in Ubud. Cooking classes in Bali usually last an entire morning or afternoon
  4. Enjoy the beach clubs. If you want to enjoy Bali beach clubs and drinks, the rain won’t be a problem. You may have some trouble getting into the pool, but at least you will be able to listen to music while watching the crowd pass the day.
  5. Try a pottery class. Have you considered developing a new skill while traveling? If so, while the rain falls outside, go to Gaya Ceramic, a studio that offers group pottery classes every Thursday morning and also offers private lessons for those who want to immerse themselves in this art.
  6. Go shopping. And who says you can’t go shopping in Bali? Little shops with Balinese items for the house, Bali’s famous sarongs, bikinis, and women’s and men’s fashion stores are among the options.
  7. Join a yoga class. Most hotels in Bali offer free yoga classes daily or just a few days a week, especially in Ubud. But if your hotel does not offer this option, go to The Yoga Barn, Fivelements, Yoga at Prana Spa, Serenity Eco Guest House & Yoga, The Practice, and Morning Light Yoga. With so much to do, you can now go to Bali without any worries, knowing that a little bit of rain won’t ruin your vacation.
